The LA Section Younger Members made the trek to Santa Cruz Island at the start of the Summer Solstice. On our journey to the big island, we saw a pack of seals and pods of dolphins, not to mention a giant blue whale! There was much to see and do as we got to the island. From the amazing hiking from one rocky beach to a nice sandy beach to enjoying the sea caves whilst snorkeling or kayaking, there was plenty of activity to partake in. In addition, we had a great group of young professionals that enjoyed a variety of fun games, admiring the cute little foxes, and fighting off the ravens who would try to pillage our packs. All in all, it was a great trip that Santa Barbara YMF did a great job on organizing!
