About the Event
Have you heard of the Abundance movement? Ezra Klein and Derek Thompson's recent book focuses on the scarcity problems of modern day cities and how new liberal policies can chart a path for sustainable growth. Among the many topics of discussion are housing production, transportation infrastructure, and climate change. The U.S. is failing to advance on these metrics and the need for reform is evident across the political spectrum.
We'll be sitting down over drinks at the Library Bar in DTLA to discuss the book and what we can take away as civil engineers. Reading the book beforehand is recommended but by no means required! We hope you can make it.
