ASCE Los Angeles Younger Member Forum (LA YMF) Professional Development Committee will be hosting a technical webinar on Friday, March 25th at 12:00 PM (noon) to gain knowledge of the structural engineering field by analyzing award-winning civil/structural engineering projects within the Los Angeles County and the West Coast. This event will include a discussion by a renowned Structural Engineer who has recently been elected to the National Academy of Engineering. Join us for an in depth technical review of the anatomy of award-winning Civil Engineering projects!!

Dr. Farzad Naeim - President at Farzad Naeim, Inc., Adjuct Professor at UCI - Henry Samueli School of Engineering

Farzad is the President of Farzad Naeim, Inc. Prior to establishing his own firm, he was the Vice President and General Counsel for John A. Martin & Associates, Inc., (JAMA) in Los Angeles. In 2007, he was awarded the Fazlur Khan Medal for Life-Time Achievements from Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat and in 2017 he was awarded the Bruce Bolt Medal jointly by Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI), Seismological Society of America (SSA) and Consortium of Organizations for Strong Motion Observation Systems (COSMOS). He is the Past President of EERI and two times Past President of the Los Angeles Tall Buildings Structural Design Council (LATBSDC). He has authored five textbooks and more than 200 referenced publications.
