About the Event
Ballona Creek needs a helping hand! The Friends of Ballona Wetlands are looking for volunteers to help clean trash from the creek area. Ballona Creek is the last coastal wetland in Los Angeles and a vital part of the local ecosystem. Maintaining a clean environment is crucial for protecting local wildlife, beaches, and the open ocean.
We will meet at 9:30 AM in the dirt parking lot behind the Local Market at 303 Culver Boulevard in Playa del Rey. The event will last two and a half hours. Please arrive on time because the gate to the ecological reserve will be locked, and we don't want you to get locked out!
Please wear close-toed shoes and weather appropriate clothing that you don't mind getting a bit dirty, along with a hat. Also, please fill out the registration form and waiver below:
