About the Event
ASCE is hosting a presentation on "Owning a Small Business Engineering and Construction Management Company" given by Omoné O. Livingston, with an emphasis on how to qualify for DBE/SBE/MBE/WBE certifications. She will discuss her personal experience of what it was like to start her own business, give general tips for those who may be considering starting their own businesses, and also answer any questions from the audience. Dinner will be provided.
Omoné O. Livingston is the Founder, President and CEO of O2EPCM, Inc. dba O2 Engineering, Projects & Construction Management, a Los Angeles-based business and professional management consulting firm. O2EPCM provides full-service Project Management, Construction Management, Project Controls, QA/QC Management, Inspection and Staff Augmentation.
She has over 27 years of experience in all phases of projects including planning, engineering, design, procurement, contracts, and large capital construction programs. Omoné holds a Master’s of Science degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from UCLA and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil & Structural Engineering from Cal State Northridge. She currently serves as a member of the City of Los Angeles Business Ad hoc Advisory Committee, Caltrans Small Business Council, Districts 7, 8, 12 & Statewide, and one of the Board of Directors with Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) Foundation, Southern California Chapter.
